Chef Andreas Caminada Born in 1977 in the little Swiss village of Ilanz. However, Andreas Caminada grew up in the charming town of Sagogn in the Grisons and developed a love for cooking from an early age. In 1996, he finished his apprenticeship at the “Hotel Signina” in Laax. He worked in various departments of multiple professional kitchens until 1998. Prior to working in various capacities at the “Hotel Deuring Schlössle” in Bregenz and the “Bareiss” restaurant in Baiersbronn. He was the pastry chef at the “Hotel Walserhof” in Klosters. He developed his abilities and acquired a great deal of expertise during this period. Which enabled him to open his restaurant in Schloss Schauenstein, the ancient castle of Fürstenau municipality, where Caminada’s operation is named.
